To say it was a pleasure to photograph THIS couple preparing for their first baby would certainly be an understatement. I couldn't be more excited for this couple if I were talking about one of my BFF's.
After the photo shoot I went through their pictures and just smiled at how blessed and in love this couple was portrayed through the lens and onto my monitor.
It is very hard to only select a few pictures because they had so many beautiful images.

Family with Dogs Portrait Photographer
I had a fun and crazy photo session with Donna, Ray and their three lab-mix dogs. The dogs were just like children, each with their own personality. Surprisingly, I did not surpass my record of number of images shot in one session.

Northwest Arkansas Family Photographer
It is always a pleasure to photograph a family with two young boys. It gives me sweet reminders of when my boys were younger. I photographed the Smith family at Bogel Park in Bentonville, a location that makes for a nice, colorful backdrop.
Here is a sneak peak from their shoot. It was hard to choose a few pictures to share because with a family this beautiful every photo looks fantastic.

Northwest Arkansas Family Photographer
I met up with the Fysh family at Blowing Springs in Bella Vista to do a family photo shoot which was delayed about an hour due to a misty rain. We were able to get an hour of shooting in before it began raining again.
Blowing Springs works great for summer photos with rich greens and heavy textures from the caves and rock. It also works great in the fall as the leaves begin falling. What I like about Blowing Springs as well is that it makes for beautiful black and white photos.
It was a pleasure photographing this beautiful family. The parents had this amazing ability to stay patient with a peaceful energy while their little guy was full of energy only a toddler can possess. Their son reminded me of my second son at that age and I can't say that I was ever that balanced in temperament. It was refreshing to be with them and I found myself wishing I had them as mentors when my boys were little :)

Christmas Sunset
We went back to our hometown for a Richards Family Christmas celebration this weekend and while we were there I photographed my sister-in-law's family. I sometimes call Jeannie my sister because she has been just as much a sister to me as she has been to Randy. I owe her a lot of gratitude. Not only is she one of only two people willing to keep our rowdy boys for a week at a time at our house or her's but I credit her for being our marriage counselor over the years. I was thrilled she welcomed my suggestion to allow me to take some long overdue photographs of her family. Thank you doesn't cover it all!

European Sunset (in Arkansas)
Today I had the pleasure of photographing my sister and her daughter in a uniquely beautiful location in Centeron. The sun was low and it made for beautiful photos in this European subdivision entrance. I gifted my sister this photography shoot as an early Christmas present. Although, I thoroughly enjoyed taking these photos so if felt more like a present to me. It was so cold out and Mira was such a trooper to keep smiling while she shivered. I had a difficult time narrowing them down so I chose many images to post.
Enjoy the beauty...

Winter Wonderland
I had a quick photo session with a family today at the Promenade. It was much colder than we hoped so we didn't get in all the photos we would have taken if it had been warmer but we got some good, cheerful holiday shots.
The Christmas season is all about hope, love, peace, believing, and joy. This family represents all of those holiday feelings each and everyday.

City Sidewalks
I have wanted to do a shoot downtown for a long time and I was so excited and not surprised with my friend Christi asked for this location. I have been super excited about photographing her kiddos. I imagined for about five minutes I was working for Vogue magazine photographing such easy subjects on the downtown streets. I'm a city girl by heart so this photo shoot was my love affair with city. Even if the city is tiny.
I've known Christi for forever it seems. She was my first "mom friend". We were pregnant at the same time twice although I didn't know her until our oldest were one year old. My first memory of her was telling her she had my baby! The stork was to bring me a baby girl named Chloe. Christi is the best kind of friend. The kind you can call 24/7 and she'd drop anything to be by your side and has.
Enough already! Bring on the photos!
